In the next few paragraphs, you’ll be able to learn how to install Woven Wood Shades with assurance … and a smile. I say this because some customers find the task to look primitive until … ehm … they spend extra hours on figuring out the details while doing it. The idea is to have a smile … and keep it as you are getting your woven wood shades up.
Just like other window blinds and shades, woven wood shades have their specific attachment brackets. They also have their specific depth of where the brackets go inside the window.
Let’s see what it takes to put up a woven wood blind.
The next example shows you an inside-mount, step-by-step course of action.

If you are wondering why the bracket sticks out a tad (notice the red arrows) from the window frame, it’s because of two “obstacles”.

Second one is the distance the two cord guides stick out beyond the headrail width. Take a look …

So, we had to allow extra room for the two “obstacles” by placing the attachment brackets where we did.

Make sure to center the headrail within the window frame before fully tightening the left & right wing nuts.
Pull on the lift cord to make sure the cord clutch works. If necessary, straighten up the valance and liners if your woven wood shades came with a few kinks and folds in them.
Done!
