A High-Window Installation For
Cellular Shades With A Remote
Control |
That’s a high window, isn’t it? A customer needed to cover it up to protect her loft furniture, carpet and paintings from the sun. Her loft was opposite to the window, almost the same height.
She wisely chose remote-control, light-filtering cellular shades. These ones are called PowerRise® and Hunter Douglas makes them.

So, there are 8 AA long-life batteries in this cylinder. How long do they last? It depends on how often the cellular shades get used. From our experience, 1- 1 ½ years of average use has been the norm.
These motorized shades are simple to operate. A single-button, hand-held remote control does the trick. By the way, the remote control itself needs AA batteries.
The cellular shades are cordless, of course. They go all the way up and down (as expected) with the option of stopping the bottom moving rail anywhere in between (to keep some view if desired).
