What if you’d like to dress up your windows in natural materials, you’re stuck on woven wood shades, but this one problem keeps you undecided?
What’s the “little” problem about?
Say, you have a few windows, and you are considering going with an inside-mount woven wood shades.
BUT, you just can’t get over the view taken away by the gathered shade material when you pull the shades up.
The longer the window, the more material gathers at the top headrail. A woven wood blind could even take 8-12 inches off your view.
Hmmm.
What are your choices here while still going “natural” with reeds, natural grasses and fibers to have earth colors and textures covering your windows (a.k.a “bamboo window shades”) … and still getting the most out of your view?
There are two choices … at least.
1.
Going with woven wood shades is fine.
The extra you need to add is the top down – bottom up feature.
You get to control two moving rails – one at the bottom and one at the top. Lowering the top rail helps you control both the view and privacy. And since the shades would be only partially open at the top, or covering the window completely, the “gathering” problem at the top is out.
Woven wood shades are window coverings that may fall into that category for you.
The latest technologies for making window blinds have come a long way.
Besides natural-looking imitation materials (you'd swear they're real), natural materials are amongst the choices that you have to pick from. The kinds of blinds or shades available in natural materials include real wood blinds, some roller shades, vertical wood blinds, and bamboo window shades or bamboo curtains, a.k.a. woven woods.
