Woven Wood Blinds Too Short

It happens to us frequently.

We put up a woven wood blind and the length looks too short. Did someone measure incorrectly? Has the factory made a mistake? What's going on?

Woven wood shades, bamboo curtains, bamboo window shades are all shades made of natural materials. And as it goes with natural materials, a little warpage, shrinkage and unevenness around the edges are common.

If you find that your new woven wood shades are "too short", just pull gently on the bottom rail of the shades when they are completely down. You can also "wiggle" them from right to left  against the window sill and even out the "wavy" look of the sides. It should help you gently correct the initial "short & uneven" look.

Over time, woven wood shades and other shades made of natural materials stretch as much as 1" to 1 1/2" in length.
