Window Shades And Blinds-A Temp Inexpensive Solution

When choosing new window shades and blinds, you may need more time to decide.

While deciding and waiting for your order, you still need something to cover up your windows, especially the ones where privacy is a major concern rather than light control.

A common and more expensive way to temporarily cover your windows is to buy some "functional cheapos" from the local department or hardware store. Even though this choice is okay, it's more costly in the long run than "just covering the windows with something even less expensive" (probably available in the same department or hardware store).

What is the solution?

Let's take a look at an inexpensive, but an effective one. Many of our customers have used these easy-to-peel-and-stick temporary shades until they were ready to order their permanent window shades or blinds.

These paper shades are easy to work with. The two top red arrows point to the last pleat of the shade. That's where the peel-and-stick area is. Just peel off the protective backing and stick the shade within or on a window frame.

The two bottom red arrows point to two spring-loaded pins (included) that hold the unfolded pleats together. They will, of course, hold the temp shades at any height of a window you want (for light and view control).

Since they are made out of paper, trimming the width to make the shades fit any window width is a snap.

Above, you can see a standard width of these paper shades. The shiny part the longer arrow points to is the "stickly part". In fact, that part is so sticky, you can easily reuse the shades anytime later on provided you protect the adhesive from contacting dust, fuzz, etc.

Getting new window shades and blinds does take a bit of time. If the above idea fits your needs, you are sure to cover your windows with cheap and practical window shades before you place your order and while waiting for the permanent shades or blinds you really want (without losing several bed sheets or buying a whole bunch of weird flagzzz or similar itemzzz ).
