 As you can see in the picture, the cellular shades look a bit unusual with the attached battery pack to the back of the headrail. A thin wire lead coming out from the pack attaches to the electric motor housed by the headrail. The lifting (wind & unwind) reels get powered by the motor. The action is triggered from a hand-held remote control (similar to a common small TV or stereo control).
