Wood Blinds In A Reality Show Mountain Home

These wood blinds went from a hurried order right into the windows of a reality show home.

The interior decorators went wild with the home décor – and it shows.

To heighten the mountain look of the home, the designers insisted on:

• 2” genuine wood blinds matching the window wood casing
• A wand-tilt slat control
• Three separate wood blinds per window with a continuous valance
  (for an easy use and trouble-free shipping as opposed to three-on-one
  wide WIDE wood blinds with enough weight to bend or twist the headrail during
  shipping)
• High-quality wood blinds above a soaker tub in a bathroom

And that’s exactly what they got.
Except one broken tilt wand and a set of pull cords that were too short, installing about 28 real wood blinds went fast and without a glitch.

Three Wood Blinds In A Study Room

The study room has a set of uniform windows all around. All the wood blinds in this room installed as an inside mount. The wood blinds instantly did a great job in blocking the sun rays entering the room from the Southeast. Otherwise, the rays would “seep their teeth” in the genuine leather bench, hunting artifacts, and paintings on the wall and cause visible damage to the surfaces over a short period of time.

Three Separate Wood Blinds In A Single Loft Window

An uneven, triple window in the loft area got these three wood blinds. Again, they went in as an inside mount.

Measuring for these “connected” windows is the same as measuring for three separate windows.

The EXACT measurements were taken from the left to right using the top sill of each window as the WIDTH (for each).
The HEIGHT for each blind was the longest vertical distance between the top and bottom sill in each window.

Because the “woods” went in as an inside mount, the factory took deductions from the EXACT measurements to assure a frictionless function and perfect fit.

Family Room Windows Covered By Genuine 2" Wood Blinds

Large, cascading-style front room windows have wood blinds inside the frames. Because the triple-section windows on the bottom are wide, ordering three-on-one headrails would be impractical. Instead, each blind came as a separate piece. A continuous valance covered the individual headrails in the windows.
