Cordless Cellular Shades As A Bay Window Treatment

0

A Bay Window Treatment is the subject of our discussion today.

Many customers are often intimidated by having to make a decision about their bare bay windows in the front room or a sitting room.

So, let's go ahead with an example a customer was pleased with (and barely noticed the new window treatments in a stacked position).

Set Up:

  • A three-piece bay window
  • Fairly shallow inside mount window frame
  • Both privacy and view need to be preserved
  • Light-filtering material
  • Insulating
  • No strings attached
  • No "bulky stack" taking the view away

What did they choose? ► Cordless cellular shades with top-down bottom-up options

Take a look at the bay window …

Does it resemble your windows configuration?
If so, perhaps you can arrive at a solution of "what to put up in there" … today .
You can already see the silver brackets installed in each window to hold the cordless cellular shades in place.

How Do The Headrails Meet In The Corners?
Just like you see in the picture.

As you can see in the detail pic above, the headrail ends come together on an angle (between each window shade). When you measure for blinds or shades to go in a bay window, remember to consider the depth of the headrail as well as the mounting surface for the installation brackets.

Sometimes the installation brackets mount as an inside mount within individual window frames. There are also options to mount the brackets straight up to the ceiling surface. One way or another, when the headrails' ends meet, they need some "breathing room" to allow for a smooth operation of the window treatments you choose.

Anywhere You Like – Cordless Cellular Shades

A BIG advantage cellular shades have – they stack neatly at the top without hoggin' too much of the window view (even in very tall windows). Many customers love that.

In our pic example, the cellular shades have the top-down bottom-up "perks" … and you can also see how little of a stack they form. With this option, they can be stacked at either the bottom or the top of the window (or partially stacked or open anywhere within a window length).
