Are Mini Horizontal Blinds (Venetian) Popular & Practical?
Mini Blinds Are Still Popular And Are …
- Mini Blinds are generally inexpensive
- Range from micro ½ “ to about 3” in slat widths
- Provide a quick and clean finished look to a window needing a simple covering
- Available in many different colors, finishes and slat rout-hole placements

- Allow for good light control via the tilting mechanism; go easily up and down using a draw cord
- Ask for a non-strip tilting mechanism (if it’s available) to avoid over-turning damage
- Suitable for skylights and storage rooms
- There is a definite difference in components and slat-gaps quality between cheap blinds and custom-made ones with this type of product (you can surely see and feel when closing, opening or drawing one up)
- The thicker the slat material (spring-tempered aluminum), the more abuse the mini blinds can take (“the spring-back-no-damage-done factor” prevents kinks)
- If neglected and abused, they can look quite unpleasant
- Most are cheaper to replace than fix
